A mom on a mission

More and more we are seeing people turn away from chemicals, artificial ingredients, processed food,GMO's and taking a more natural approach to their diet, beauty products and cleaning supplies. For as long as I can remember, we have used the big brand name products when it came to all of these things. When someone gets sick in my house, I reach for the Lysol® brand disinfectant spray and wipe everything down with their wipes. My mirrors and windows get a "streak-free shine" with Windex®. It's just what I've always known, but what if you knew there was something better?

Do you know what the active ingredients in your cleaning supplies are? Some popular cleaners contain dimethyl benzyl ammonium saccharinate, Ethanol, or "other ingredients". They also have warnings printed right on the labels, "Hazards to Humans and Domestic Animals" Wait? So, the products I am using to protect my family are actually hazardous to my family? I don't know about you, but those all natural, chemical free "recipes" on Pinterest are starting to sound more appealing.
I'm not saying that I will NEVER use store bought cleaning products again, but knowing what I am using around my family is important to me and I'm a 'mom on a mission' to do what I feel is best for my family.

I found this recipe for Homemade Laundry Detergent that I can't wait to try. I will most likely substitute On Guard protective blend for Lemon oil because of it's anti-bacterial and immune supporting properties, but you can use any oils that you want. I think I will even attempt to make these Dryer Puffs once I run out my dryer sheets. If you have tried any of these homemade products or other homemade cleaning products, please share them with me or tell me about your experience and if you want more information on essential oils check out My doTERRA Website

Wishing you wellness through essential oils
